Heavily pregnant Nollywood actress, Stephanie Linus on Sunday, August 2, premiered her highly anticipated movie ‘Dry’ at the Silverbird Cinema Victoria Island, Lagos.

The movie premiere was well attended by her husband, top Nollywood stars and socialites such as Linus Idahosa, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Sola Sobowale, Mo Abudu, Ruth Osime, Nkiru Anumudu, Tara Fela-Durotoye and much more.

The movie directed, written and produced by Stephanie, is a true-life story that follows the trail of a young girl’s Zara (Stephanie Linus) trip to Africa, her constant turmoil as a result of inexplicable horrors from her child hood, her experiences and heartaches while working with young girls suffering from complications from early child birth as child brides, against the backdrop of a rich African culture.

Customs' thugs mistakenly kill innocent trader over 'settlement'

On Friday, July 10,a 28 year old trader Kabiru Mohammed, was said to be dealing in second-hand shoes and was returning from the Seme area in his car at about 5am.was when he was stopped at a checkpoint manned by customs officials around the Federal Government College area in Ijanikin. It was gathered that after the inspection by the NCS officials, Mohammed was told he could leave. ADVERTISEMENT However, one of the thugs, reportedly working with the NCS officials, was said to have given Mohammed’s vehicle a chase and thrown an object at the car tyres, which made the vehicle swerve and somersault.
