Ambode Governor appoints 19 new Permanent Secretaries

The new appointments are in line with the Governor’s drive to restructure the civil service for efficient performance and service delivery, a statement by Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna said.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has appointed 19 new Permanent Secretaries into the State Public Service.
The new appointments are in line with the Governor’s drive to restructure the civil service for efficient performance and service delivery, a statement by Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary,Habib Aruna said.

The new Permanent Secretaries are:
  1. Mr. Bamgboye Abiodun
  2. Mrs. Dapo-Thomas Boladele Aderemi
  3. Mrs. Ariyo Elizabeth Olabisi
  4. Mrs. Adekanye Adebunmi Elizabeth
  5. Mr. Bode Agoro
  6. Dr. (Mrs.) Ayandele Olufolayimika Abiose
  7. Dr. (Mrs.) Sodeinde Nuriat Ibironke
  8. Mr. Odeyemi Mohammed Adesina
  9. Mrs. Odulana Arinola Olufunmilayo
  10. Mrs. Onisarotu Adesina Jemil
  11. Engr. Bade-Adebowale Ajibade Caster
  12. Mrs. Amosu Sewande Ayodele
  13. Mr. Kadiri Abayomi Adebisi
  14. Mrs. Anifowoshe Amidat Abiola
  15. Mr. Adeyemi Folarin Anthony
  16. Dr. (Mrs.) Oduwole Olanike Elizabeth
  17. Mr. Mustapha Abdul Ahmed Olorunfemi
  18. Mrs. Odunlami Funlola Adesola
  19. Mr. Odupitan James Olusola
According to the statement, 15 Permanent Secretaries were also retired from the civil service.
Ambode will swear in the new Permanent Secretaries at the Lagos House, Alausa on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.

Customs' thugs mistakenly kill innocent trader over 'settlement'

On Friday, July 10,a  28 year old trader Kabiru Mohammed, was said to be dealing in second-hand shoes and was returning from the Seme area in his car at about 5am.was when he was stopped at a checkpoint manned by customs officials around the Federal Government College area in Ijanikin.   It was gathered that after the inspection by the NCS officials, Mohammed was told he could leave. ADVERTISEMENT However, one of the thugs, reportedly working with the NCS officials, was said to have given Mohammed’s vehicle a chase and thrown an object at the car tyres, which made the vehicle swerve and somersault.
