Mikel's Agent Slams Oliseh Phone Call Claims

John Shittu, the agent of Chelsea and Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel, rejected claims by Eagles handler, Sunday Oliseh that the midfielder refussed to pick his calls or return them thereafter.

Former coaches Samson Siasia and Stephen Keshi were both lambasted during their tenures for dropping the midfielder when he was available for selection.
However Shittu claims Mikel returned the Eagles boss calls way before the list of invited stars were released.
He told allnigeriasoccer.com: “I don’t know, I am not aware why he was not invited. Oliseh called Mikel and Mikel tried to call him back.
“Mikel called Oliseh back, definitely not when the list was released, much more before that .”
Mikel last played for Nigeria in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa last November.  Oliseh meanwhile will take charge of his first Nigeria game against Tanzania in an AFCON 2017 qualifier match in Dar es Salaam on September 5.
