PHOTOS: Banky W Moves To Directing?

One of Nigeria’s finest hip hop artiste, Bankole Wellington, popularly called Banky W, is now a video director. 
Banky who recently rounded up a short course in Directing/Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, shot the television commercial (TVC) for the launch of the revamped DSTV compact bouquet by leading pay company, Multichoice Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Chioma Afe, DSTV Marketing Manager, said the choice of Banky W as the director of the TVC was an easy one for them because of his appeal to a large segment of the young people in the Nigerian society and the fact that the new bouquet was targeted mostly at them.
The main character of the TVC was beautiful actress, Ivie Okujaiye, who expressed her delight with working with Banky W and described him as a humble, creative and easy going individual.
The all new Compact bouquet comes packed with over 95 channels including access to its flagship on demand video rental service – DStv BoxOffice.  New and existing subscribers will get to enjoy premium content and non-stop television entertainment at a monthly subscription of N6,000.
The bouquet now comes with new channels including M-City, Eva, AfricaMagic Igbo, AfricaMagic Urban, AfricaMagic Epic, Zee World.
General Manager, Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, Martin Mabutho said the new offering further reiterates the company’s commitment to provide Nigerians with quality entertainment they can afford.

“DStv Compact is designed for our young, cool and trendy subscribers who desire premium content in a bouquet that is affordable and fits perfectly into their lifestyle. We have refreshed the bouquet to include some premium channels as well as introduced BoxOffice for access to block buster movies for subscribers who have the Explora decoder”, he said.

Joint Admissions Matriculation- BoardTwitter reacts to new JAMB cutoff marks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board , JAMB, on Tuesday in Abuja announced that it has pegged the minimum entry requirement into Nigerian universities for the 2015/16 academic year at 180 marks . The body, however, said polytechnics and colleges of education, including innovative enterprise institutions awarding National Diploma are to admit undergraduate students with a minimum of 150 marks . The decisions were taken during the 6th combined policy meeting of stakeholders of institutions awarding degrees and certificates.
