TORONTO — Bobbi
Kristina Brown died Sunday, nearly six months after she was found unresponsive in
the bathtub of her Georgia home.
She was 22.
Kristen Foster said in
a statement: “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded
by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again
thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these
last few months.”
The only daughter of
late singer Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown died at Peachtree
Christian Hospice, where she had been moved as her condition deteriorated.
“Krissy was and is an
angel,” Brown said in a statement released Monday. “I am completely numb at
this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honour her
memory.
“Our loss is
unimaginable.”
On Monday morning, the
Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said an autopsy will be needed to
determine what lead to Brown’s death.
According to the
statement, “interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also
be challenging. However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions
which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.”
Singer Dionne Warwick,
a cousin of Whitney Houston, described Bobbi Kristina as “a sweetheart.”
Appearing on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Warwick said: “She will be missed, that’s
for sure. She was a good girl.”
Brown’s
companion Nick Gordon and a friend discovered her face-down in the tub on
the morning of Jan. 31. She was rushed to North Fulton Hospital, where she was
reportedly placed in a medically-induced coma.
Brown was later moved
to another hospital in Atlanta.
In May, a court named
Bobby Brown and Pat Houston co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown and
made lawyer Bedelia Hargrove her conservator.
